Refresh a Facebook Listing Link Preview

2 min read Facebook

If Facebook shows the wrong image or title for a property link, first check the public website, then ask Facebook to fetch the link again.

Refresh the listing preview

  1. Copy the exact public property URL you plan to share and open it in a browser where you are not signed in to QwikVid. Confirm it reaches the correct listing.
  2. Check that the property's current content is correct. A refresh cannot fix an incorrect image or title on the website itself.
  3. Open Meta's Sharing Debugger, sign in if prompted, enter that URL and choose Debug.
  4. Review the fetched URL, preview and any errors. Use Scrape Again if available to request a fresh fetch after the site is corrected.
  5. Return to Facebook, create a fresh draft with the same public URL and inspect its preview before publishing. An existing post may continue to show an older preview.

Match the symptom to the next check

  • The site will not open: check the URL and whether the listing or custom domain is still active. Fix that first.
  • The wrong property appears: check the destination after any redirect and send support both the shared URL and the final address.
  • The site looks right but the preview does not: send support the URL and a screenshot of the debugger's preview or error. The image used for sharing may need a separate correction.
  • The debugger cannot fetch the page: keep its exact error. A page opening in your browser does not prove that Facebook can fetch it.
  • The debugger is unavailable: retry later or use Meta's help. Avoid changing your property URL repeatedly to work around the tool.

What to include when asking for help

Send the order number, exact shared URL, expected image or title, screenshot of the actual preview and the time you tried refreshing. Never include your Facebook password or account tokens.

For the posting steps, see sharing a listing on Facebook. Pixel settings are separate from link previews.

Still need help?

Email support with your order number, account email, and a short description of what happened. Include any error message so we can help quickly.
