Check your destination's image requirements before resizing real estate photography. Keep an untouched copy of your original download.
Choose the right size
Your MLS, brokerage website or social platform may specify pixel dimensions, file type, file size and aspect ratio. Follow the requirements for the place you are uploading to; one export may not suit every destination.
Start with the photo downloads available for your order. Making a small image larger does not restore missing detail. If you need a larger original, check whether high-resolution photos are included or available for your order.
Resize without stretching
- Make a copy of the photo and open it in an image editor that supports resizing.
- Enter the required pixel width or height and keep the aspect ratio locked.
- If a different aspect ratio is required, crop carefully instead of stretching the room or exterior. Check that important features remain visible.
- Save a new file in the required format, then check its dimensions, file size and appearance before uploading.
Resize several photos on Windows
Microsoft's PowerToys Image Resizer guide explains batch resizing from File Explorer. Its Fit option preserves proportions without cropping; Fill can crop the image. Avoid Stretch when it would distort the property.
Still getting an upload error?
