The delivery email is the start of the final review. Before you upload photos to the MLS or send a video to your seller, check that you have the right property, the right versions and the latest corrections. A few specific checks make the handoff easier for everyone involved.
1. Match the delivery to the order
Start with the order number and property address. Compare the services on the order with the media actually available: photos, listing video, aerial coverage, a tour, a floor plan or a property website. Some components can become available at different times. An available photo package does not prove that every video or tour is finished.
If an expected item is missing, ask the team whether it is still processing, part of a separate delivery, or outside the selected package. Keep the order number with your own listing record so another team member can pick up the conversation without searching by address.
2. Open the package and review the images
Download the available package, extract the ZIP, and open a few individual files before forwarding it. Then review the full set against the property's priority features. Check for the intended interiors, exteriors and requested views, and note any specific image that needs attention.
- Use the right version. Check whether you need the standard delivery or an included or separately purchased high-resolution package.
- Keep a clear local copy. Store the delivery with its order number and review date so it is distinguishable from an earlier revision.
- Check your destination. Your MLS may have its own limits for dimensions, file size, format and branding. There is no single specification that applies to every MLS.
- Test an upload. If a file is rejected or cropped unexpectedly, check the actual platform requirement before resizing the whole set.
Our MLS photo size and upload guide walks through file type, dimensions, compression and cropping problems. It is a better starting point than repeatedly exporting smaller versions and hoping one works.
3. Watch the full video, including the beginning and end
Check the opening address, agent and co-agent credits, brokerage name, phone numbers and final branding card. Read the text as it appears on screen, including punctuation. Watch once on a phone-sized screen as well as on a larger display; correct text is not useful if it cannot be read where the video will be shared.
Confirm which version you are reviewing. A branded listing video and an MLS version serve different purposes. Choose the delivered version that meets your destination's rules rather than assuming any video link will work everywhere.
If you previously requested a correction, compare the new version with the actual request. A resent link alone does not establish that every requested change is present. Note the exact point in the video where a remaining issue appears.
4. Test the links your audience will receive
Open the property website, video and tour links in a private browser window. This helps you see the public experience without relying on your signed-in session. Check the address, navigation and media playback. Test on a phone if that is how your seller or prospective buyers are likely to open it.
Keep private download links and account details within the appropriate team. For a public listing, use the intended property or media sharing link. If a custom domain is part of the order, confirm that it resolves to the right property before adding it to print or social materials.
5. Send one clear revision request
A useful request identifies the item and the exact change. For example: “Order 12345, listing video at 00:03: change the opening title from ‘123 Example Street,’ to ‘123 Example Street’.” For a missing credit, supply the spelling and desired wording rather than asking only to “fix the branding.”
- Include the order number and the specific filename or video link.
- List each requested change separately, with a timestamp or screenshot when useful.
- Explain whether the request affects the branded version, MLS version or both.
- Ask the team to confirm any scope, cost or timing before additional work begins.
- Review the corrected delivery against the same list before marking it complete.
For the next shoot, use the home preparation checklist and communicate special coverage and branding requirements early. Good preparation and a specific final review support a smoother listing launch.
